Our ancestors knew the power and magic of smudging spaces and themselves. They used various dried herbs found in local forests and gardens, as well as different dried resins gathered from surrounding trees.

To make burning incense easier, especially resins, they used burners made from various materials.

At Your Soul Time, you can now purchase a cast iron incense burner, perfect for holding herb bundles, burning dried herb pieces, and you can also place charcoal inside, on which you can place dried herbs or resin during your ritual.

Instructions for using the incense burner:

(Instructions are written for using resin or herb mixtures.)

• For better heat insulation, you can add sand to the burner and place it on a fireproof surface,
• Light the charcoal with a match, lighter, or over a candle and wait for it to start crackling,
• Place the charcoal in the burner with the indentation facing upward (you'll add the incense here later),
• Wait for the charcoal to fully ignite (you'll see a thin line spreading across the entire charcoal, and when it has "passed" over the whole piece, the charcoal is fully lit),
• Add some pieces of resin or incense to the indentation on top of the charcoal,
• You can walk around the space with the burner (be mindful of its heat) or simply enjoy the fragrances and cleansing effects.
