Lepidolite is a violet-gray mineral from the same family as Muscovite. It contains the highest concentration of Lithium among minerals and is used as a source for this element.

Like all minerals in the "Mica" group, Lepidolite is extremely delicate and tends to flake.

Most Lepidolite comes from Brazil and appears in various colors. In nature, it's commonly found in pink, purple, and red hues, sometimes in gray, and rarely in yellow.

Its reddish color comes from the presence of Manganese.
