Instructions for Use

Gently and slowly light the bundle over a flame. We recommend lighting it over a candle flame. Direct lighting with a lighter is not recommended as it introduces unpleasant odors. We want the lighting process to be natural, as it was done thousands of years ago.

When lighting the bundle for the first time, allow a small flame to form. It's important not to blow out the flame. Native Americans believe that blowing out the flame releases and extinguishes your soul's energy. Instead, hold the white sage bundle vertically upward (flame at the top), allowing it to naturally extinguish and release its pleasant and deeply relaxing aroma.

If the flame doesn't extinguish on its own, wave it gently through the air to let the wind put it out.

Energetic Space Clearing

Walk through your space with the smoking bundle, making slow circles as you move. This extends the smoldering time.

We recommend holding a small dish under the smoldering bundle with your other hand to catch any falling embers and prevent damage to objects in your space.

To clear negative energy from a space and protect it from unwanted elements, walk with the incense through all corners of the room, gently wrapping the space in smoke. Don't forget the corners where negative energy tends to accumulate. Then place the white sage bundle in a fireproof dish and let it extinguish naturally.

Don't worry, the incense won't burn completely - you'll be able to use it multiple times.
