Rutilated Quartz is a special variety of Quartz that contains needle-like inclusions of rutile. Rutile is a mineral composed primarily of titanium dioxide. It can appear in red, brown, yellow or blue, though our specimens are mostly golden in colour.

Rutile inclusions often lower the value of a Quartz, yet among collectors they are highly prized precisely for their beauty.

Sagenite is a special variety of rutilated quartz. It is known for rutile growing in a net-like pattern on the surface of the quartz or within it.
