Mookaite, also known as "Mookaite Jasper," is a silicified porcelanite mineral that comes in various colors. It most commonly appears in deep red or dark yellow, though specimens can also be found in beige, brown, grey, or purple.

Its name comes from the Australian Aboriginal word "mooka," meaning "flowing waters."

Due to its origin, Mookaite may contain fossils. One of the largest deposits is in Western Australia, where it's rich in tiny nanoplankton fossils, specifically Radiolaria and Foraminifera. These two types of plankton played a crucial role in creating this magical stone.
